DeckNear

DeckNear is a free referral service. We are not a contractor. When you call, you are connected to an independent local provider who may pay us for the referral. Providers are responsible for their own licensing, pricing and work.

About DeckNear and how we work

Request a free quote

Tell us your city and project, and we will point you to an independent local provider.

What DeckNear is

DeckNear is a referral website for residential deck work. The scope is small on purpose. Deck building. Deck replacement. Deck repair.

We are not a building firm. We have no crew. We do not stock lumber. We do not turn up at your house with tools.

Our part is the introduction. You tell us where you live and what you need. We connect you with a local provider.

What DeckNear is not

We are not the seller of the deck. We do not sign your building contract. We do not collect your payment for the build.

We do not claim licences we do not hold. We do not post reviews or ratings on this site. We do not show team photos or job stories.

If you read a claim like that on a deck site, ask who wrote it. On this site, we keep the claim simple. We make referrals.

How a referral happens

The steps are plain.

First, you call and give your city. Next, you describe the work. New build, replacement or repair. Then we connect you to a provider who works in that city. The provider takes it from there.

The provider will ask for your address to plan a visit. That address goes to the provider so they can quote. You choose what to share and when to share it.

How we are paid

Providers may pay us for the referral. That is how a free service for homeowners is funded.

The payment does not buy a promise from us about the result. We cannot promise a price, a start date or a finish date. Only the provider can offer those, after seeing your yard.

You pay DeckNear nothing at any stage.

Your checks still matter

A referral is a starting point, not a verdict. Do these checks before you sign.

Ask if a permit is needed for your job. Ask who applies for it. Ask what the quote covers, board by board if you need to. Ask what happens if rotten framing is found once boards come up.

Get more than one quote if time allows. Compare the scope, not just the total. The lowest total can omit stairs, rails or permit fees.

Why we publish city pages

Permit rules are local. Weather is local. Even the common deck faults differ by place. Rain rots joists in Seattle. Freeze and thaw lift footings near Boston. Heat and storms test fasteners in Nashville.

So each city page is written for that city only. It names the permit office there. It uses facts checked for that place. It does not copy another city page and swap the name.

Talk to us

Questions about the referral model go through our contact page. Questions about a quote, a start date or a build must go to the provider who gave it. We cannot change a provider price or schedule.

Read our privacy page for how we handle information you share with us.

Frequently asked questions

Who runs DeckNear?

DeckNear is the name of this referral website. We use a company voice on this site and we do not name a person as the owner. Our job is narrow. We take your call, learn your city and the type of deck work you need, and connect you to an independent local provider who does that work.

How does DeckNear make money?

Providers may pay us for a referral when we connect them with a homeowner. That payment does not change what you pay us, because you pay us nothing. It also does not mean we control the provider. The provider is a separate business. It sets its own price and terms and answers for its own work.

Do you check the providers you refer to?

We pass your request to providers who say they do the type of work in your city. You should still do your own checks before you hire anyone. Ask about licensing where it applies, ask who pulls the permit, and ask for a written quote. If a provider cannot answer plain questions, you can say no and walk away.

Can DeckNear quote my deck or guarantee the work?

No. We do not visit homes, measure decks or set prices, and we do not guarantee any provider work. Only the provider you hire can quote your job after seeing the site. Your agreement is with that provider. Keep a copy of the quote, the scope and any permit papers for your own records.
